Wedding Cakes for Office Colleagues

Hi all,
After much considerations, i finally placed an order with Choz confectionery for 10 boxes of wedding cakes (free 1 box) for my office colleagues. The cakes will look like the picture as attached. Choz will print the wordings " Tan Yi Ming & Lynda Low Wedding on 30 March 2008" on the box, which they say will be in metallic blue in colour.
Per box is $15.50 exclude the $20 delivery charge. In total, im paying $175 for 11 boxes of cakes.
They will deliver on 19 March 2008 between 11.30 to 12.30pm.

I plan to give the cakes to the following :

1) 1 box for violet (my office receptionist who always look out for me)

2) 1 box for my lady boss

3) 1 box for Wendy (secretary to vice chairman - a very nice and sophisticated lady)

4) 1 box for Office level 1

5) 2 boxes for Office level 2

6) 1 box for Office level 3

7) 1 box for Office level 4

8) 2 boxes for Office level 5 (that's the level where im sitted)

9) 1 box to Executive Director

Liang Food Caterer (Daytime Buffet for relatives)

I had selected and confirmed Liang Food Caterer as my daytime Buffet caterer for relatives coming to my parents' home for tea ceremony on my wedding day. hehhehehe

The reason why i selected them is because of their price is very reasonable and falls within my budget. They provide 3 tables for the buffet dishes, table skirtings, warmer, complimentary packet drinks, plastic spoons, forks and plates plus 10 dishes for only $9 per pax for min. 30 pax. I've also checked Singaporebrides.com to see reviews on this caterer and some said the food is nice. Another reason why i order from them is because they are Halal certified. My uncle and his family are muslim ( his wife is a muslim and he converted) so if they come, they can eat the food too. Plus..two of the dishes which i've ordered are vegetarian, my grandma can eat.

I've asked the caterer to arrive on 30 March 2008 at 10.30am. :)
I hope the food will be tasty and my relatives and friends will be pleaed with it.

Honeymoon - Hotel Booking

Sorry that my posting came in late....been busy lately..:)

I managed to book the Baiyoke Suite Hotel at Bangkok (Thailand) for my honeymoon trip!:D
Since we will be there from 03 April to 06 April, i booked the hotel for 3 days. It cost me SGD$186.One night for a Superior Suite cost SGD$62/-
Can't wait for my trip to Bangkok Shopping trip!!! I must make a trip to the buddha temple. Hope everything turns out well and i'll get what i want to buy!:)

Tea Dress selection - 20 January 2008

Today we went to Seletar Bway to look at the layout of our photos.
Overall we are pleased with the design and presentation of the photos except for one.
The designer is very kind as he helped us change the layout of that particular shot immediately.

When we were there, Xiaoling is the one who served us as the rest of the consultants like Lily, Meiqin had gone to the suntec exhibition.

Anyway, I managed to change my hand bouquet from the rose bouquet with furry stuff at the side to a round bouquet made of daisies and some other type of flowers. Hubby is the one that chose it as i can't make up my mind. The whole bouquet is white and yellow in colour. I agreed to choose that cos' Xiaoling said her other customers rarely choose it. :P

I managed to get Xiaoling to show me some cheongsam style tea dresses. I've tried on several but still prefer this cos' it's elaborate and i dun think i will ever get the chance to wear such type of dresses in future. hehehehe
This is the one that i've chosen though the sewing part at the back is fraying..Xiaoling said she will try to get the red lace similar to the ones used on the dress and sew it on top.

Do you think it looks good on me? :) i think it really bring out my body shape.
Usually i dun look good in body hugging tight dresses..but this one doesn't make my hips looks big. The cutting of the dress is fabulous.
Tentatively this is the tea dress which i've chosen, unless the condition of the sewing for this dress gets worse or Xiaoling can't get the lace to sew it on.

Wedding Accessories......

My Mother-in-law has prepared some jewelleries as my "si dian jin" (four pieces of jewellery which consist of a ring, a pair of earrings, bangles and necklace) for our wedding. I think she going to give me these three pieces of jewelleries - two bangles and a necklace. There will not be any earrings and ring. I think the necklace is not cheap. But i dunno how much.:P

So what do you think? Nice? :)
i think the necklace's design is quite unique, don't you agree?

My mom has bought me a diamond ring from Citigems. Original price is $1700plus. There was a 50% discount. So we paid only $800plus.
I selected the ring myself together with Mom, sis and baby Lauren. hehehe..

Food Tasting on 5th January 2008

Yesterday we* went for food tasting at RELC International Hotel - Tang Court Restaurant. The food portion is big..and the food is quite tasty. All 10 of us who went for the complimentary food tasting were quite pleased with the food. Hope on the actual day the food standard and food portion will be the same.

Wedding Accessories......

Two pics of my 1 inch high wedding shoes bought from Isetan on 24 Nov 2007, original price $33.90 before 3% isetan card discount. Material is very soft and height of heels is what i'm looking for...that's why i bought it. :)It is also quite an elegant looking pair of white heels which elongate my feet.:)
